FMCSA Orders Reply in Junan Driving School Registry Appeal

So whatDrivers & owner-operators: if you trained at Junan Truck Driving School, confirm your CDL training records still count; registry removal can block certification.

FMCSA's Chief Safety Officer, Steven Dowling, ordered the agency's Office of Safety Programs to respond to a petition from Junan Truck Driving School, an Azusa, California, CDL school that is fighting its emergency removal from the Training Provider Registry (TPR). The school filed its petition on September 1, 2026, under 49 CFR 380.723(d)-(e), asking FMCSA to review the removal.

The order, dated October 14, 2026, requires the Director of the Office of Safety Programs to submit the original notice of emergency removal and all evidence the agency relied on when it pulled the school from the registry. The response is due within 10 days of the order's service date. FMCSA has not yet made public why it removed Junan from the TPR, a federal list of providers authorized to deliver entry-level driver training that counts toward CDL certification.

The docket is open to the public on Regulations.gov under number FMCSA-2026-3664.
