FMCSA Reinstates Two CDL Schools After Emergency Removal

So whatTraining providers & owner-operators: FMCSA can suspend a school's Training Provider Registry listing with little notice; verify a school's current status before enrolling or counting ELDT hours.

FMCSA moved to close two enforcement dockets after reinstating a pair of entry-level driver training providers to its Training Provider Registry (TPR). The agency had served Notices of Emergency Removal on Remsense Inc., doing business as Luma Brighter Learning, and on Mountain View Vocational Institute LLC on August 31, 2026, citing material deficiencies under 49 U.S.C. § 31305(c)(5) and 49 CFR § 380.723(e). Both providers petitioned for review — Mountain View on September 8 and Remsense on September 15 — and FMCSA's Chief Safety Officer ordered the Office of Safety Programs to respond to each petition. On October 14, 2026, Deputy Administrator Jesse Elison notified both providers that they had taken the corrective actions needed to address the deficiencies and reinstated them to the TPR effective immediately. FMCSA's counsel then asked the agency to dismiss each petition as moot and close the dockets. Separately, FMCSA posted a new petition from EP Texas Trucking School LLC on October 15, 2026, challenging its own emergency removal from the TPR. That filing opened docket FMCSA-2026-3796; the underlying removal notice and specific deficiencies were not included in the posted document.
